What's built in
Every page works with a keyboard alone and with screen readers; headings and landmarks are in order; text and background contrast meets AA; links are underlined or clearly marked; nothing flashes; and the "AA" button in the top bar makes all the text larger and remembers your choice on this device.
Plain language
We write the way a firefighter would explain it at your kitchen table. Where a form or a rule has to use an official term, we say what it means.
Photographs
Every photograph carries a written description, and new ones get one as they are added.
